{"id":506,"date":"2019-09-11T23:25:50","date_gmt":"2019-09-11T21:25:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sprintiesworldtour.com\/?p=506"},"modified":"2020-02-07T07:08:51","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T06:08:51","slug":"15-dawson-city-goldrausch-am-klondike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sprintiesworldtour.com\/index.php\/2019\/09\/11\/15-dawson-city-goldrausch-am-klondike\/","title":{"rendered":"# 15 Dawson City &#8211; Goldrausch am Yukon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Nachdem wir den Dempster Highway geschafft hatten, ging es zur\u00fcck in die Zivilisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawson City, um 1898 das Zentrum des Goldrausches (auch Onkel Dagobert Duck soll hier reich geworden sein) war unser n\u00e4chstes Ziel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die ganze Stadt ist in sehr gutem Erhaltungszustand und hat sich seit 1898 kaum ver\u00e4ndert. Alle Stra\u00dfen sind Gravelroads. Bei Regen nicht gerade sch\u00f6n, aber ein Mu\u00df f\u00fcr die urige Original-Atmosph\u00e4re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goldsuchen kann man hier auch noch. F\u00fcr einige (viele) Dollar kann man Touren buchen und bekommt sogar die Ausr\u00fcstung gestellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Wochenende sollten die allj\u00e4hrlichen Discovery Days stattfinden. Dies ist ein Feiertag nur in den Yukon Territories, an dem alle Schulen und die meisten Gesch\u00e4fte geschlossen haben. Dieser Feiertag soll an den gro\u00dfen Goldfund vom 17. August 1896 am Bonanza Creek erinnern, der den Goldrausch ausl\u00f6ste und Dawson City zeitweise zur gr\u00f6\u00dften (bev\u00f6lkerungsreichsten) Stadt im Norden machte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zeitweise lebten hier \u00fcber 30.000 Menschen, die zum gr\u00f6\u00dften Teil auf ihren Claims nach Gold buddelten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wurden sie dann mal f\u00fcndig, gaben sie die sauer verdienten Nuggets in den zahlreichen Saloons und Bordellen von Dawson City aus. Am Visitorcenter trafen sich die Langzeitreisenden mit Fahrzeugen aller Art. Landrover, VW Busse, darunter viele alte Westfalia auf T 3, aber auch Wohnmobile und  Unimog-Aufbauten. Zu den Discovery Days glich die gesamte Stadt einem gro\u00dfen Campground. Freies \u00fcbernachten wurde \u00fcberall geduldet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nat\u00fcrlich war in vorderster Front wieder  Old Germany vertreten. Das ganze \u00e4hnelte einem Karnevalsumzug in Deutschland einschlie\u00dflich Kamelle- W\u00fcrfen. Leider waren keine Hasch-Kekse dabei, obwohl Cannabis jetzt in Kanada offiziell erlaubt ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sonntag war dann Erholung von den Feierlichkeiten angesagt. Am n\u00e4chsten Tag wollten wir dann den &#8222;Top of the world highway&#8220; fahren und uns so langsam nach Alaska aufmachen.
