Mai 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend ich diese Zeilen schreibe, sitze ich schon wieder am heimischen Schreibtisch und wir haben gerade Halbzeit in der 14t\u00e4gigen Corona-Quarant\u00e4ne, die jeder, der aus Nicht-EU-L\u00e4ndern einreist, einhalten mu\u00df. Unsere Reiseplanung haben wir zu ca. 80 % geschafft. Lediglich die Texas-Rundreise und Besichtigungen von Memphis und Nashville konnten wir wegen der Beschr\u00e4nkungen aufgrund der Pandemie nicht mehr durchf\u00fchren. Aber das wird in einem sp\u00e4teren Blog n\u00e4her beschrieben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jetzt gehen wir erstmal zur\u00fcck in die Zeit vor dem Virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>01. M\u00e4rz 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir haben Besuch aus Germany. Unser Neffe Robin ist mit seiner Freundin Lea nach Phoenix geflogen und wir wollen gemeinsam die wesentlichen Nationalparks der S\u00fcdwestens anfahren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dazu hatten wir in einem Cabelas Bass Pro-Shop ein Zelt und eine Luftmatratze besorgt, da unser Camper nur ein Zweischl\u00e4fer ist. Rundherum war eine gro\u00dfe Kirmes mit Schaustellern und ihren Fahrgesch\u00e4ften sowie ein Riesenrad aufgebaut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Rodeoarena war bis auf den letzten Platz gef\u00fcllt. Selige Vor-Corona-Zeiten. M\u00e4rz 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00dcber Phoenix, Scottsdale und Prescott fuhren wir nach Las Vegas und blieben mit dem Wohnmobil auf dem &#8222;Mainstreet-RV-Park&#8220;, den wir schon im Dezember genutzt hatten. M\u00e4rz 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der n\u00e4chste Tag war &#8222;Shopping Day&#8220;. Wir besuchten die gro\u00dfe Einkaufs-Mall am Strip, in der man wirklich lange unterwegs sein kann. Der Apple Store war f\u00fcr mich besonders interessant. Der Kauf einer Apple Watch5 zeigte wieder mal, das in den USA der Kunde K\u00f6nig ist. Eine derartige Rundumberatung  hatte ich in Deutschland so noch nicht erfahren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach dem Shopping-Marathon gingen wir zu Gilleys. Mickey Gilley war in den 80er Jahren ein bekannter texanischer Countrys\u00e4nger und er hatte hier am Las Vegas-Strip ein Restaurant er\u00f6ffnet. Kurzes Fazit: Relativ teuer und die Qualit\u00e4t entsprach nicht dem Preis!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abends gingen wir dann in das gro\u00dfe Riesenrad und schauten uns die Spielerstadt von oben an. Und das hat sich wirklich gelohnt.
